McLaren Vale Wine Tour with Hahndorf $129
Embark on an exploration around both Adelaide and its nearby attractions, starting your journey at the selected points in Adelaide CBD. Here our state of the art bus will cruise about the city, with our guide giving you some insight on the best attractions, the local secrets, and greatest food stops the area has to offer. On the way we will stop at Adelaide Oval, learning about the iconic sports events which take place here.
As we start to head out of the city, we will stop at the nearby Mount Lofty. The lookout point offers extraordinary views of the entire Adelaide city region, so take your time to snap as many photos as you like.
Afterwards, we will head to the historic town of Hahndorf. Here you have an hour and a half of free time to explore the charming region, browsing the boutique shops dotted about the main street. Grab some lunch at one of the traditional German-style pubs or one of the cosy cafes in town before we meet back up to head to our first winery.
Following the free time, we’ll meet back up and head to the Chapel Hill Winery nearby. This winery is a stylish stop full of history, art, and natural delights, where visitors can sip on a variety of delicious wines while learning about the winery’s history and development.
Next up on the agenda is McLaren Vale’s Main Street! We pass an hour of free time along this road, which features wineries, cafes, shops, and even a chocolate factory. No matter what you are after for this afternoon time, this street has got you covered.
After meeting up once more, the tour will set off to our last winery stop! Shingleback Winery is a family-owned brand, boasting plenty of passion to give out while serving up their delicious range of fine wines. Learn about the winery’s unique wine-making process as you nibble on one of their cheeseboard platters available to purchase.
Sadly, it is almost the end of the tour as you climb aboard the bus to head back to Adelaide. The tour will take the scenic route back to the city as you marvel at the Adelaide coastline from your seat. The last stop for the day is at the delightful seaside suburb of Glenelg. Here you can simply enjoy a short walk in the town, before hopping back on board the bus to go straight back home. Otherwise, you can opt to stay, and spend a couple of hours enjoying the beach and the suburb’s shops. Heading back to Adelaide via the tram which only takes 20 minutes!
